Dropbox

Dropbox is an online, cloud storage for all files, photos, documents, videos, etc.  Dropbox can easily be installed on your computer (PC or MAC) and mobile devices such as your iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones.   After installing Dropbox, a Dropbox folder appears for your use.  Users can save files to the folder, add new sub folders, and drag and drop files among folders just as if they were all local. Files in the Dropbox folder can be accessed from anywhere with an Internet connection – the user just has to log in to his account to upload, download and share files.

It is also simple to share files with another user.   Files in Dropbox are secure and safe.  You will have a Dropbox link on your computer, and you can also go directly to the Dropbox website to find your files.

Dropbox is free with an initial space of 2 GB.  By referring other users to Dropbox the user can earn up to another 16GB of space.  More space can be purchased by upgrading to Dropbox Pro, with a monthly fee.

As suggested in the previous page,  Google Drive is a great cloud storage, and a good way to create and share files, but as more and more people are using Dropbox, you may very well be asked to share a document that is stored in Dropbox so it is helpful to know about it.
