Microsoft Office:

Please note. Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 and Office 365 are supported here at Tabor.

If you do not have Microsoft Office, or you have an old version of this and would like to upgrade you can download Office 365 for FREE.

The Microsoft Office 365 University for Windows and MACs is available for FREE. This suite includes the following products:

• Microsoft Word;
• Microsoft Excel;
• Microsoft PowerPoint;
• Microsoft OneNote;

To register for Office 365:  Please send a Helpdesk ticket to the Digital Learning and Innovations Team with the following details (Full name, Student ID Number, Email Address). Once received, they will send you instructions on downloading/installation of Office 365.

Office 365 will last for the duration of your course, and all you need is your Tabor Gmail address.

Google Apps for Education

   Google Drive:

Create a Google account, and you will be able to create Google Docs (similar to Word); Google Sheets (similar to Excel); Google Slides (similar to Power Point), and more.  You will also be given a Gmail account, to send and receive emails.  This is a cloud service so you will be able to access it wherever you are in the world, as long as you have internet.  It is quite secure also.  

If you already have a Gmail email address, and have not accessed Google Drive, you have a Drive account!  To access it, go to your Gmail account, and to the Google Apps icon, near the top right hand corner (9 little dots in a grid):    You can access Google Drive, Calendar, your account (to manage), and more here.  You can access just a list of your documents, or your power points etc. from this area.  When in Drive, you can click here to access your Gmail inbox.

Libre Office; and Open Office:

• Libre Office and Open Office are free to download and provide users with the ability to view/create Word Documents, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint files in the same manner as Microsoft Office.  
  

Adobe files:

To be able to open and read Adobe files if you do not have Adobe on your computer:

Note that Adobe Flash Drive is a plug-in to one's web browser which allows the user to play multimedia, such as videos and audios.  It is plugged in to Google Chrome browser by default, but normally needs to be added to Mozilla Firefox.  See how to do that here.
