PDF with embedded Adobe Presenter content

Some lectures may be presented as a Power Point with embedded audio; the audio may be embedded using Adobe Presenter which can make it difficult to open the file at times. If you find that you cannot hear the audio in a Power Point file, (or it may have been converted to a PDF file) try the following:
- Use Mozilla Firefox as your web browser. While Google Chrome is fine for most things, it seems to be incompatible with PDF lecture files with embedded audio. Safari in a MAC computer should also be fine. Do not use Internet Explorer, or Edge. If you do not have Firefox download it here And the latest versions of the browser you are using is helpful.
- Upgrade to the latest Adobe Reader: click here to download that.
- Ensure that you have the latest Adobe Flash. If you cannot see the audio of the lecture, embedded in the PDF file, you do not have Flash. Download here.
- If you own a Mac click here to see what version of Flash Player suits your machine - scroll down to: Most recent version of Flash Player supported under Archived Versions.
- Once you are sure you have the latest versions, as above:
- Download the file and save to your computer.
- Close it, and then do a right mouse click to select: Open with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- You do need to do it this way, or it will most likely just open up with the first page, or with a blank page.
Please see this video of the steps below. This video was created in a subject which has the lectures in this PDF format. Note that is video was made in Tabor Online but it is the same for such a file accessed in VET Learn.
